☕ Espresso

🇬🇧 A small, strong coffee.

🇬🇧 The light layer on top of some coffee drinks.

💡 Coffee culture

Did you know?

In English-speaking countries, people rarely say:

❌ I want a coffee.

🇮🇹 Voglio un caffè.

Instead, they usually say:

✅ Can I have a coffee, please?

🇮🇹 Posso avere un caffè, per favore?

It’s more natural and much more polite. 😊

👨 Customer:

🇬🇧 Good morning. Can I have a latte, please?

🇮🇹 Buongiorno. Posso avere un latte, per favore?

👩 Barista:

🇬🇧 Of course. Would you like anything else?

🇮🇹 Certamente. Desidera qualcos’altro?

👨 Customer:

🇬🇧 I’d also like a croissant.
